Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Favorite Book Covers of 2017

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

Top Ten Tuesday: My Top Ten Favorite Book Covers of 2017

The prompt for this week's TTT was technically supposed to be for my top ten favorite books of 2017, but as you all know I count those down in my big New Year's Eve blog so this week I'm doing my top ten favorite book covers of 2017 instead. In no particular order...

1 )The Dazzling Heights by Katharine McGee

2) Ever the Brave by Erin Summerill

3) Defy the Stars by Claudia Gray (ARC Edition)
(Although I love all of the different versions of this book's cover. The UK Edition is especially amazing!)

4)Roar by Cora Carmack

5) Blood Rose Rebellion by Rosalyn Eves (ARC Edition)
(Personally I would have stuck with the blue over the white background)

6) Hunting Prince Dracula by Kerri Maniscalco

7) The Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo

8) A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas

9) Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones

10) The Great Pursuit by Wendy Higgins

What were some of your favorite book covers from this year?
Let me know in the comments or drop me a link to your post!
As always, happy reading Bookdragons!

TRUST
By Kylie Scott
Genre – Mature YA
Available Now

Blurb:
Being young is all about the experiences: the first time you skip school, the first time you fall in love…the first time someone holds a gun to your head.

After being held hostage during a robbery at the local convenience store, seventeen year old Edie finds her attitude about life shattered. Unwilling to put up with the snobbery and bullying at her private school, she enrolls at the local public high school, crossing paths with John. The boy who risked his life to save hers.

While Edie’s beginning to run wild, however, John’s just starting to settle down. After years of partying and dealing drugs with his older brother, he’s going straight—getting to class on time, and thinking about the future.

An unlikely bond grows between the two as John keeps Edie out of trouble and helps her broaden her horizons. But when he helps her out with another first—losing her virginity—their friendship gets complicated.

Meanwhile, Edie and John are pulled back into the dangerous world they narrowly escaped. They were lucky to survive the first time, but this time they have more to lose—each other.

Alt Cover Love

You know the old saying, "don't judge a book by its' cover"? Sometimes when it comes to covers and alternate/foreign covers, you can't help but like some better than others. What do I mean by alternate covers? Well, sometimes when a book comes out in paperback, that was originally in hardcover, a publisher might give it a completely new cover. Other times a publisher may have a different cover for a US edition of a book versus a UK edition or a German edition; etc. If you're a die-hard book collector you might have multiple editions of the same book just so you can admire all the pretty covers.

Here are a few books and their alternate covers. You be the judge, tell me in the comments which cover you like best.

Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas
UK Cover
US Cover

The Eternal Ones by Kirsten Miller
Hardcover Edition
Paperback Edition

Freeks by Amanda Hocking
UK Cover
US Cover

The Thousandth Floor by Katherine McGee
UK Cover
US Cover

These are all pretty much a draw for me. If I had my way I'd collect copies of each version - which I have with Empire of Storms. But here's a book that's hardcover edition I love and paperback cover I just can't get behind...

Nemesis by Anna Banks
Hardcover Edition -
 LOVE IT!
Paperback Edition -
No, just... NO!

So what do you think? Which editions get your pick? Let me know!
