"Book Mail" Thursday #3

This week's book mail is half here... I received a pre-order book earlier this week and I'm waiting on another book from Amazon...

Book Mail:
I just received...
UNDER THE LIGHTS (The Field Party #2) by Abbi Glines
Blurb:
Willa can’t erase the bad decisions of her past that led her down the path she’s on now. But she can fight for forgiveness from her family. And she can protect herself by refusing to let anyone else get close to her.

High school quarterback and town golden boy Brady used to be the best of friends with Willa—she even had a crush on him when they were kids. But that’s all changed now: her life choices have made her a different person from the girl he used to know.

Gunner used to be friends with Willa and Brady, too. He too is larger than life and a high school football star—not to mention that his family basically owns the town of Lawton. He loves his life, and doesn’t care about anyone except himself. But Willa is the exception—and he understands the girl she’s become in a way no one else can.

As secrets come to light and hearts are broken, these former childhood friends must face the truth about growing up and falling in love…even if it means losing each other forever.

Why I Bought This Book:
Yes, I've already read and reviewed UNDER THE LIGHTS. I received an e-ARC in July that I read on my Kindle. But often times ARCs are the unfinished uncorrected version of the book and I wanted a copy of the finished copy.

Waiting On:
Right now I'm Waiting On:
Enshadowed (Nevermore Trilogy #2) by Kelly Creagh
Blurb:
While Varen remains a prisoner in a perilous dream world where the terrifying stories of Edgar Allan Poe come to life, Isobel travels to Baltimore to confront the dark figure known throughout the world as the Poe Toaster. This man, the same man who once appeared to Isobel in her dreams and abandoned her in Varen’s nightmare world, holds the key to saving Varen.

But when Isobel discovers a way to return to this dream world, she finds herself swept up in a realm that not only holds remnants of Edgar Allan Poe’s presence, but one that has taken on the characteristics of Varen’s innermost self. It is a dark world of fear, terror, and anger.

When Isobel once more encounters Varen, she finds him changed. And now Isobel must face a new adversary—one who also happens to be her greatest love.

Why I Bought This Book:
I've also read Enshadowed before but I wanted to reread the whole trilogy over Halloween and I only have books 1 & 3. I love this trilogy because of the connection to Edgar Allan Poe and because I see a little of my guy in Varen Nethers (not that I'm sure that's a good thing!)

Hopefully, I'll receive Enshadowed before Labor Day. I have another book order coming sometime later next week and then one later in September. I know, I know... I seriously need to stop buying books!
