I Can't Wait For... Moon Child!

Can't-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we're excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they're books that have yet to be released.

I saw and heard about this book for the first time while doing my Winter TBR Top Ten Tuesday post over the weekend. It had me from "The Craft meets The Shining..."

Blurb:
The Craft meets The Shining in this slow-burn Florida gothic horror.

As the only daughter in her Cuban-American home, 18-year-old Valentina Callejas has been raised to do what her Catholic grandmother and mother say to do. But Valentina feels a different pull--an affinity with nature, a desire to read tarot cards and study the occult. After ditching her church's retreat and fighting with her family, Valentina flees her Miami home and ends up five hours away at Macy's house, a sister she's never met until now.

When a mysterious wolf leads Valentina to nearby abandoned Sunlake Springs Resort, she meets the "clairs," young psychics drawn to the hotel's haunted history. They've been waiting for her, they say, to open a magical entryway to the spirit world. But Valentina's sensitive hands tell a different story--of anguished spirits, menacing cracks, and hooded ghosts of Florida's hateful past. Even the local legend, the beautiful Lady of the Lake, all hint to the hotel's sinister history. To protect her new friends from the horrors awaiting them on the other side, Valentina must use her growing powers and decide, once and for all, if she's the witch she was always meant to be.

{Cover Reveal} VENTUS by Tyffany Hackett

Happy Monday Bookdragons! Today I'm excited to help my friend and fellow indie author, Tyffany Hackett, reveal the gorgeous cover of the third and final book in her fantasy trilogy, VENTUS!

Title: VENTUS
Series: The Thanatos Trilogy, Book 3
Author: Tyffany Hackett
Genre: YA High Fantasy
Release Date: July 24, 2020

Synopsis:

"We fight for our family. Whatever it takes."

When Natylia wakes in the hands of the enemy, her hopes of saving Araenna seem slim at best. And with no knowledge of where Camion, Jyn, Meryn, and Andimir might be—or if she even has a kingdom to return to—her growing despair feeds the darkness trying to lay claim to her magic. Days go by while she’s tormented by her captor, but the world goes on regardless. And so do the Titans determined to destroy it.

Natylia needs an army. She needs allies. She needs her family, her friends.

And more than anything, she needs to escape.

Race across the three kingdoms in this epic conclusion to the award-winning Thanatos Trilogy and join the fight! For freedom. For family.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Favorite Book Covers of 2017

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

Top Ten Tuesday: My Top Ten Favorite Book Covers of 2017

The prompt for this week's TTT was technically supposed to be for my top ten favorite books of 2017, but as you all know I count those down in my big New Year's Eve blog so this week I'm doing my top ten favorite book covers of 2017 instead. In no particular order...

1 )The Dazzling Heights by Katharine McGee

2) Ever the Brave by Erin Summerill

3) Defy the Stars by Claudia Gray (ARC Edition)
(Although I love all of the different versions of this book's cover. The UK Edition is especially amazing!)

4)Roar by Cora Carmack

5) Blood Rose Rebellion by Rosalyn Eves (ARC Edition)
(Personally I would have stuck with the blue over the white background)

6) Hunting Prince Dracula by Kerri Maniscalco

7) The Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo

8) A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas

9) Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones

10) The Great Pursuit by Wendy Higgins

What were some of your favorite book covers from this year?
Let me know in the comments or drop me a link to your post!
As always, happy reading Bookdragons!

#BookMail Thursday #39

It's Book Mail Thursday and I have an amazing new book that I can't stop looking at. This week's book mail came to me via winning a Goodreads giveaway so let's open my mailbox and see what's inside...

The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert

Thank you again Goodreads and Flatiron Books! This book is gorgeous and the blurb sounds really interesting. I can't wait to dive into this one!

I also got a mysterious package from Amazon addressed to my grandmother. I wonder what it could be (well actually I don't because my grandmother had me order my own Christmas presents) but I'll have to wait until Christmas!

Book Mail I'm Waiting On:
