Hey Bookdragons! I finally finished a book this month and I'm nearly finished with a second! 

What I Read Last Week:

I finally finished reading House of Earth and Blood! I loved it but lately it takes me forever to finish massive tomes like this one. HOEAB took me 17 days!

What I Am Reading Now:

I'm trying to read a few of the books I plan to take to ApollyCon next month that I haven't already read so I started My Lady Jane while I was in a lull with House of Earth and Blood and I'm about 100 pages away from finishing it. I've had a copy on my kindle for several years but I never got around to reading it but I figured since I read and loved My Plain Jane I should go back and read it. It's so good and so funny.

Up Next:

The next book on my "Read Before ApollyCon" list is Malice by Pintip Dunn. I received a finished copy from Entangled Teen which was great since I was planning on getting a copy for the author to sign anyway.

Hey Bookdragons! There's been a lot of stressful stuff going on in my personal life so I haven't been having the best reading month. I have been able to get through a few things though...

What I Read Last Week:

This is a short story by one of the authors attending ApollyCon this year. I've been trying to read a little something by some of the authors that are unfamiliar to me. I was skeptical going into this one but I ended up really enjoying it. I only wish the author would create a series from the snippet of these characters.

 Last time I posted I was just getting this book for the ARC tour. It was such a good, powerful read and I definitely recommend it!

I've had this one on my kindle for a couple months and finally got a chance to read it. I loved it and wish I had read it right away when I got it.

What I Am Reading Now:

I've been wanting to reread this one for a while but I was nervous it wouldn't be the same since I know how it ends but I'm loving it just the same and hoping to finish it today.  

Up Next:

I just picked this book up at Walmart and it sounds really good. Unless my grandmother wants to read it right away I might take it.

Hey Bookdragons! It's the last Monday of 2019! Wow --- where did the year go?? I didn't get as much reading done last week with Christmas stuff going on but I did read a couple books...

What I Read Last Week:

I wasn't sure about this one at first but it took a turn for the best when Dax went to CVS to buy feminine products for his sister. I almost died laughing. And the narration on the audiobook was good. 

I loved this author's Pretty Little Liars series but I haven't read any of her adult books until now and I found myself loving this one right off. Everyone is hiding something... but is one of them hiding something worth killing for?

What I Am Reading Now:

I'm back to my traditional read going into the new year... I've read Texas Gothic every New Year's Eve for the last seven or so years and it still cracks me up. When the first line reads "The goat was in the tree again." you know you're in for something funny.

Up Next:

I haven't entirely figured out my TBR for January except for the two audiobooks I want to listen to: Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas and Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon. Since I've already read the rest of the books in the Throne of Glass series and have put off the finale for so long already I'm going to tackle Kingdom of Ash first.

What I Read Last Week:

I'd been waiting to read this one all summer! It was such an addictive, sexy, hilarious read that I couldn't put it down! I'm going to binge the rest of the series as soon as possible. 

This was a good solid read by an author new to me. I liked the premise and how fast paced it was. It wasn't perfect but I'd definitely read the other two books in the trilogy!

I wanted to read this book since I finished Warcross but I was afraid it wouldn't be as good as the first book. It wasn't what I expected but I loved it in equal measure to Warcross and I'm satisfied with the ending of the duology! I'm glad I gave these books a chance.

What I Am Reading Now:

The movie adaptation of this book came up in my Netflix queue last week and I loved it so naturally I wanted to read the book. A friend of mine once told me you need to go into each as if they are not meant to be the same and then you'll enjoy them without comparing so that's how I went into the book. I'm about 1/3 of the way in and completely hooked on the story. The movie version is different, yes, but they're both great.

I've been really into thriller and horror novels this summer and this one looks like a quick, eerie read.

Hey Bookdragons! I'm finishing up some June reads and starting my July TBR list this week... 

What I Read Last Week:

I've been meaning to read this book since it came out and I finally got a chance to pick it up. I wish I'd read it sooner because I loved it!

This was my first YA BOTM selection and I was afraid I wouldn't like it but it was such a quick, awesome read!

This book was okay, I just didn't like it as much as the book I read before it. For some reason f/f romances are easier for me to get into than m/m. I also didn't get a lot of the 80s references. It was an interesting look at the AIDS epidemic in the 80s.

What I Am Reading Now:

I've been looking forward to this book for a long time but I'm choosing to listen to it slowly and savor the ending of this awesome trilogy.

I watched this movie on Christmas (I know, strange movie choice but we do horror or thriller movies on Christmas because we're sick of happy family Christmas movies) and I've been wanting to read the book ever since. I finally picked up a copy when I was at Target last week and I'm about 20% in.

I got this audiobook on Libro.fm a couple months ago now and it's finally at the top of my audiobook TBR.

I'll be reading this one for a blog tour scheduled for the end of the month. It sounds really cool.

What I Read Last Week:

For the first book in my Countdown to ApollyCon 2020 Challenge this book did not disappoint! I loved this series opener and now I want to binge all the rest! Just give me all the books! 

The Kingdom was fantastic!! I highly recommend this one which is due out tomorrow! Just such an awesome read that I couldn't put down!

What I Am Reading Now:

Yet another book for my Countdown to ApollyCon 2020 Challenge I picked up this audiobook on Libro.fm with Some Girls Bite and an unrelated to the challenge murder mystery. I'm about halfway through it but I'm just not feeling it. I'll listen to the end but I think I'll skip the sequel unless it drastically improves.

This is the next book on my ARC reading schedule and I am loving it! It's such an easy read and the pages seem to be flying by on their own accord.

Next up for me is...

I've had the audiobook (and hardcover) of this one for a while so I think I'm going to finally start listening to it once I finish Onyx and Ivory! I've heard mixed reviews on this one but I'm eager to form my own opinion.

This is the next book on my ARC TBR schedule since it releases on June 3rd (which means I technically should have read it before The Beholder but I hope you won't hold it against me). I honestly can't remember what this one is about since I received the eARC from Entangled Teen but I'm sure it's a YA Sci-Fi of some sort.

Happy Monday Bookdragons! I took the weekend off from blogging, reading, and writing for some much needed self-care. Now I'm back to work (and wishing I could go back to my happy, relaxing place) and back to my current reads.

What I Read Last Week:

I really enjoyed this one and I can't wait for the next book to come out this fall!!!

What I Am Reading Now:

A friend of mine recommended this book to me because of my love for The Handmaid's Tale and I had a credit available when I signed up for Libro.fm, so I grabbed this one in audiobook and started listening to it. I'm really enjoying it so far!

I started reading this one last week to try to finish it in time for the Unplugged Box discussion yesterday but then I needed a break from reading so I left off at page 29 and will pick back up this evening. 

I loved Blood Rose Rebellion and I got this book on Thursday and couldn't help but start it immediately. I'm eager to get back into it today.
